KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Assurance Engineer
THE ROLE
We design and deliver high-performance optical systems for ground-based and space applications, operating in complex and highly regulated environments. Product assurance is a key element to guarantee quality, reliability, and compliance throughout the entire product life cycle.
We are looking for a Product Assurance Engineer to work closely with project teams, ensuring that Product Assurance requirements are correctly defined, implemented, and maintained from early design phases through production, testing, and delivery. The role requires a structured and proactive approach, with a strong focus on quality, prevention, and risk control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis and implementation of Product Assurance requirements, ensuring correct flow-down to subcontractors and suppliers
Drafting, updating, and maintenance of the Product Assurance Plan (PAP)
Definition, implementation, and verification of Cleanliness and Contamination Control requirements, especially for sensitive hardware, including identification of preventive actions
Verification of compliance with Product Assurance standards during all project phases (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) using dedicated PA Gate Checklists
Collaboration with project teams to define Qualification Test Plans and Test Procedures, supporting qualification and verification activities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Department and work closely with the Quality Manager and Process Owners. The selected candidate will contribute to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System in compliance with UNI EN 9100:2018, supporting product and process conformity while fostering a strong culture of quality, prevention, and continuous improvement across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

System Engineer
THE ROLE
At Officina Stellare, we design and develop advanced optical payloads and systems for Space, Scientific Research, Defense and Aerospace applications.
We are looking for a System Engineer to lead the development of complex spaceborne optical systems throughout their full lifecycle, from mission analysis and system definition to integration, verification and operational validation.
The ideal candidate combines strong systems engineering expertise with a solid understanding of space payload development, being able to manage technical complexity, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure that mission requirements are effectively translated into system performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate mission and customer requirements into technical system and payload performance specifications;
- Lead requirements engineering activities, including definition, allocation, traceability, verification and validation;
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout design, development, integration and qualification phases;
- Lead system performance analyses and trade-off activities considering mass, power, data budgets, radiometric performance and operational constraints;

- Optical Engineering. This team is involved in translating the project optical design into reality. This is possible thanks to the complete in-house availability of optical labs for grinding, shaping, polishing, coating and testing of all optical components, either lenses or mirrors up to 1.6m diameter.

The LABORATORY TECHNICIAN will be responsible for conducting material tests while collaborating with the Quality Assurance and Product Assurance functions. We are looking for candidates who are capable of handling complex situations with a positive, proactive approach, focused on achieving the established objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain calibration of company instruments;
- Conduct tests on metallic, composite, ceramic materials, bonded joints, coatings (e.g., tensile tests, hardness tests, spectrophotometer analysis, chemical analysis, non-destructive testing) following sample preparation and measurement setup according to the relevant ECSS standards;
- Incoming inspection of adhesives and paints, managing their expiration dates in stock;
- Review of Test Reports from External Laboratories;

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO
- Co-ordination and control of overall project tasks
- I/F with customer
- Sub-contractors management
- Project and Management Plan preparation (Schedule and costs control, Progress Reporting and control)
- Risk management and corrective actions implementation
- Risk Assessment Report and Register preparation and maintenance
- Change Request Management
- Co-ordination of Configuration and Documentation activity
- Support to Procurement for suppliers management
- Reviews & meetings planning, preparation and attendance
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROGRAM MANAGER
- University degree in technical fields
- Mechanical background is considered as a preference
- 2 years experience in a technical role
- 2 year experience in Program Management
- Strong problem-solving attitude
- Proactive attitude
- Team work player
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-language, multi-cultural team
- Good knowledge of the English language both read and spoken
- Desire to continue professional growth and development
- Tools: MS office, including Project
