Officina Stellare’s TQ selected for QSPIN Project
We are proud to announce that our subsidiary ThinkQuantum has been selected among the winners of the EIC Transition program of the European Innovation Council, for a non-repayable contribution of approximately Euro 2.5 million, destined for the implementation of the QSPIN project.
QSPIN will represent the evolution of the ThinkQuantum technological platform for the quantum distribution of cryptographic keys for Earth and Space applications.

Officina Stellare signs new agreement with Argotec for HEO constellation
Officina Stellare signs a new agreement for the supply of the second batch of space telescopes, destined for Argotec’s HEO (Hawk for Earth Observation) constellation, a pivotal part of the “IRIDE” mission.
After successfully passing the tests on the units already delivered, Officina Stellare and Argotec are therefore authorized to continue in the IRIDE program, one of the most important European satellite space programs for Earth Observation, an initiative of the Italian Government, under the management of the European Space Agency (ESA) and with the support of the Italian Space Agency (ASI).

Officina Stellare signs new contract with Thales Alenia Space Italia for a space quantum optical terminal
We are pleased to announce that Officina Stellare has signed a new contract with Thales Alenia Space Italia for the design and manufacturing of a space quantum optical terminal as part of the “Roadmap Ottica” program of the Italian Space Agency (ASI), intended to enhance the strategic value of quantum communications from low orbit (LEO) to the Earth’s surface.
The project also includes ThinkQuantum Srl, controlled by Officina Stellare, which will provide its technological expertise in quantum cryptography, in the ground and flight segments, and Skyloom Global Corp. – an American company pioneering multi-orbit space data transport services and laser communication technologies – which will contribute to the development of the terminal.
The project demonstrates the know-how and the industrial competences of Officina Stellare in the strategic sector of optical quantum cryptography communications and confirms the leadership of the Italian industry in the technological development of the next-generation communication infrastructure.
Officina Stellare signs new contract with EMEA international player
Officina Stellare S.p.A has signed a new contract for the supply of a very high resolution multispectral optical payload, intended for a 50 cm resolution Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Observation satellite. The system will be capable of guaranteeing a source of data of fundamental importance for applications related to modern intelligence.
The operation is destined to a leading international player of the EMEA area, active in the aerospace defense and intelligence sector, with which Officina Stellare has already collaborated in the past; this project will enable him to expand its set of monitoring and intelligence services offered.
Thanks to this new project, Officina Stellare strengthens its strategic positioning at a global level as a qualified supplier of optical systems for Earth Observation, meeting the favor of institutional and commercial customers, thanks to the uniqueness and completeness of the solutions designed internally at the Space Factory.
Earth Next – Preliminary Design Review (PDR)
The EarthNext mission project, funded by the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana in the framework of the ALCOR program, has successfully passed the Preliminary Design Review (PDR), thus marking the conclusion of the preliminary design phase.
