Job title: Process Engineer

Job description: 
Officina Stellare is a leader company in the field of high precision optics for space and ground application.  
The process engineer main duty will be the optimization of both in-house and external manufacturing processes. He/She will manage the entire manufacturing process. He/She will provide innovative solutions to reduce waste and cost, and to improve the overall efficiency. He/She will provide regularly technical reports and technical proposals to the Management, and will supervise the development of the suggested proposals. Previous experience in the same field is highly desirable.        

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Analyze the in-house and external process flows, and identify possible actions to improve productivity;
- Develop and realize the suggested improving actions;
- Develop and realize a quality tracking system throughout the process flows;
- Analyze the cost flows for ongoing and future projects. 

Education and skills:
- Master in Business Engineering or similar, Master in Industrial Engineering, Master in Physics;
- Previous work experience (two years at least) in the same role (process engineer or quality engineer); 
- Good knowledge of statistical analyses and of statistic software tools;
- Good knowledge of lean and six sigma techniques;
- Excellent social skills
- Good proficiency in English and Italian (writing and speaking)    
- Willing to travel

Job title: Project Manager/ System Engineer

Job description: 
Officina Stellare is a leader company in the field of high precision optics for space and ground application.  
The Project Manager/ System Engineer main duty will be the management and optimization of projects. He/She will be in charge of managing the entire process line related to aerospace and ground segment. He/She will provide regularly project status reports to the Management. Previous experience in the same field is highly desirable.  

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all the project phases, in order to fulfill the project requirements (deadlines, quality, cost budgets);
- Define and coordinate the activities of each project phase;
- Allocate human and financial resources;
- Define and allocate the project technical requirements; 
- Identify and reduce the project risks;
- Report the status updates to all project stakeholders; 

Education and skills:
- Degree in engineering or physics
- Previous work experience (five years at least) in the same role, in the field of aerospace project or similar;
- Good knowledge of software tools (Office, Project, MATLAB);
- Excellent social skills
- Good proficiency in English and Italian (writing and speaking)    
- Willing to travel

Job description:

The Mechanical Engineer main duty will be the design of astronomical instrumentations for ground and space applications. He/She will manage the implementation of standard and/or innovative technical solutions to realize the production chain of fresh new instruments. He/She will report directly to the project manager. Previous experience in the same field is highly desirable.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Define the system architecture of optomechanical systems and related supporting tools and optional tools;
- Optomechanical design of optical systems (e.g., telescope);
- Optomechanical design of AIV tools;
- Structural analysis; 
- Define the manufacturing processes and the suppliers;  

Education and skills:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar; 
- Previous work experience (three years at least) in the field of aerospace project or similar;
- Good knowledge of software tools (SolidWorks, NASTRAN, ANSYS, Office);
- Excellent social skills
- Good proficiency in English and Italian (writing and speaking)

He/She will be in charge of investigating the optimization of the inherent manufacturing processes (i.e. design, performance and tolerance analysis, metrology, integration, alignment). He/She will report directly to the project System Engineer, closely working with the entire project team. Previous experience in the same field is highly desirable.

Job description:

The Optical Operator’s main activities relate to alignment, integration, test, and measurement of optical system for ground and space application, also working in clean room environment. He/She will be in charge of the AIV phases, alignment operations, performance measurements, and quality acceptance. He/She will report to the System Engineer, closely working with the entire project team. Previous experience in the same field is highly desirable.   

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- AIV activities of optomechanical system, also in clean room
- Optical alignment
- Optical tolerance and optical performance verification 
- Optical Metrology (also in clean room) 

Education and skills:
- Degree as optical operator or optomechanical operator, or degree in Optics, Engineering, Physics. 
- Previous work experience in the field of optics is highly desirable 
- Familiarity with optical metrology instrumentations (i.e. optical interferometers, Shack Hartmann, ecc…)
- Good knowledge of software tools (Office) for Windows;
- Excellent social skills

The Mechanical Operator’s main activities relate to the assembly and verification of opto-mechanical components in the field of telescope instrumentation for ground and space application. He/She will be in charge of AIV activities and of verification activities of mechanical and optical components of modern computerized telescopes. He/She will be also in charge of measurement and verification activities during the process. He/She will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor, and will closely work with the entire project team. Previous experience in the same field is highly desirable.      

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Integration of mechanical and optical components of telescopes
- Development and Integration of scientific instruments for optic applications
- Verification of optomechanical performances

Education and skills:
- Degree as mechanical operator, or degree in Engineering 
- Previous work experience in companies in the field of optics/ optical instrumentations is highly desirable 
- Familiarity with mechanical metrology instrumentations

Job description: 
Officina Stellare is a leader company in the field of high precision optics for space and ground application. The Optical polisher operator’s main activities consist of realization of optical components (i.e. mirror and lenses) for ground and space applications. He/She will be in charge of the following optical manufacturing processes: rough grinding (shaping), precision grinding (lapping), manual polishing and polishing through machines. He/She will be also in charge of measurement and verification activities during the manufacturing process. He/She will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor of the optical facility, and will closely work with the entire project team. Previous experience in the same field is highly desirable.        

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Manual and automated optical manufacturing activities on large diameter glass disk
- Optical metrology
- Document management (digital version)  
Education and skills:
- Degree of optomechanical operator, optical technician, or degree in Optics, Engineering, Physics;
- Previous work experience in companies in the field of optics/ optical instrumentations is highly desirable 
- Familiarity with optical metrology instrumentations
